Submission of abstracts
INVITATION TO ALL MEMBERS
OF INTERNATIONAL HOMEOPATHIC COMMUNITY
to share professional knowledge, experience and phylosophic enlightenment
with other colleagues and learn from each other.
We welcome your research abstracts.
GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACTS
The presentation of your experience must follow certain selective and quality criteria:
Honesty – Errors and failures in treatment are often more informative than successes.
Clarity – The presentation should include findings, analyses, prescription and exact evolution (for chronic cases the follow up should be of 2 years at least). Additional details concerning the hystory of the cases should be available on request.
Validation – What practical value does your contribution have and how can the new findings be integrated in daily work of homeopathic practitioners.
Topic – Contribution should be clearly identifiable as element of the subject matter of the Congress.

CONDITIONS OF SUBMISSION
Language :
All abstracts must be written and submitted in English.
Format:
All abstracts must be in either Rich Text Format (.rtf) or Word document (.doc). Abstract filenames should contain only alphanumeric characters and underscores (_), and end in an .rtf or .doc extension only. Microsoft Office 2007 native format is not acceptable - if using Microsoft Office 2007 use the "Save as ..." option and select "Microsoft Word 97-2003" in the Compatibility drop down menu.
Font: Times New Roman 12 pt.
Line spacing: 1.5 spacing
Margins: 3cm (top, bottom, left, right)
Start of submission period: March 15, 2010.
Submission deadline: November 15, 2010. All papers must be completed and submitted by e-mail with attachment by sending to: union@balthomeopathy.eu
E-mail confirmation of receipt will be sent within one week. Please check for it.
Deadlines for late-breaking new research will be announced nearer to the conference time.
Structure:
- Author(s): first name and family name listed in upper and lower case
- First and last name fully spelled.
- Presenting author name underlined.
- Address of author(s) (including e-mail)
- Title of presentation/poster (Title length not more than 100 characters (including spaces and punctuation)
- Preference: oral presentation or poster?
- Short summary of abstract (maximum 60 words)
- Key words (max. 5 words).
- Abstract (maximum 500 words, or 2450 characters (including spaces) in length)
Original research reports should have a structured abstract using the following headings:
Objective: Main question, objective, or hypothesis
Methods: Study design, participants, outcome measures
Results: Measurements, including confidence intervals and level of statistical significance when appropriate
Conclusion: Directly supported by data, along with any clinical implications
Case reports should have a structured abstract using the following headings:
Background: Importance of the subject matter and specific purpose of the report
Case: Summary of pertinent features of the clinical findings, important laboratory abnormalities, treatment, and outcome
Conclusion: Summary of the principal finding and why it is unique or worthy of attention.
Presentation:
Audio-visual material must be compatible with the available technical facilities (will be published on congress home page later).
Conditions and Presentation Agreement:
The content must have been written by the author himself and neither published nor presented before the Congress.
By submitting your abstract you confirm that you have the rights to the delivered contents of the presentation and you give the organizers of the European Congress of Homeopathy, without any charge, permission to publish and distribute congress materials that will contain your abstract, full text and any other materials you deliver with your presentation.
For the Scientific Committee to validate the work, it is necessary that the author or authors are previously registered, thus, please add to your interest in participating, a copy of the registration payment.
Confirmation of acceptance:
Once the submitted abstracts have been examined by the Scientific Committee, the author will receive confirmation of acceptance or rejection by end of January 2011. As part of our review process, the Scientific Committee will consider which type of presentation is more suited to your topic. This decision will be based solely on the content of your submission and by no means represents a negative or positive valuation of your work.
Complete instructions for full paper submission and for poster format and preparation will be sent to you by e-mail upon acceptance.
Authors of abstracts accepted for oral presentation will be expected to provide full text of the anticipated presentation in 3000 words or less by March 1, 2011.
We anticipate receiving far more abstracts than can be accepted. Only those abstracts judged to be of the highest quality and relevance will be accepted.
Authorities of the Congress will officially inform you about the incorporation of the work within the program and will set a day and hour in which it will be presented.
Publication:
All Congress contributions will be published in the Congress Abstract Book and on the home page. By submitting his abstract, the author agrees to publication of the paper. Every author will receive the Abstract Book free of charge.
